Set Up a Filterable Gallery Page

To create a filterable gallery page we will have to create a custom taxonomy. With Toolset Types installed go to Toolset > Taxonomies > Add New. Set the Name plural as 'Portfolio Categories', the Name singular as 'Portfolio Category', and the Slug as 'portfolio-category'.

Under Taxonomy Type select Hierarchical, and under Post Types to be used with this Taxonomy select Portfolio. Save Taxonomy.

In order to have your portfolio page, you must first create a portfolio page. Go to Pages > Add New, the title of the page must be Portfolio.

Do not add anything to this page. Leave it completely blank. For reference, this is how it should appear.

You should notice in your side panel that there is a section named Portfolio below the Comments section. Go to Portfolio > Add New.

Set up the Featured Image. This is the image that will appear on your portfolio page. Also, please assign your portfolio item to the custom taxonomy.

Go to your Portfolio page, and you will now notice your first image on display! Repeat the steps above for each image you wish to add to your Portfolio. Your newest images will appear first in your sequence of photos.
