Set Up Navigation Menu Icons and Search

Go to Appearance > Widgets and drag the Custom HTML or Text widget box into the Right Navigation Menu location. Directly below the Text widget drag and drop the Search widget (do not add titles to either widgets).

Open up that text widget and paste this code within there (sample code is also included in the Assets folder of the theme) and save.
