How to Add Social Media Icons
First, go to Appearance > Widgets and drag a Custom HTML widget into the Primary Sidebar location.
Open up that text widget and paste this code within there (sample code is also included in the Assets folder of the theme)
<div class="socialicons"><a href="FACEBOOK-LINK" target="_blank"><i class="fa fa-facebook"></i></a> <a href="TWITTER-LINK" target="_blank"><i class="fa fa-twitter"></i></a> <a href="PINTEREST-LINK" target="_blank"><i class="fa fa-pinterest"></i></a> <a href="INSTAGRAM-LINK" target="_blank"><i class="fa fa-instagram"></i></a> <a href="BLOGLOVIN-LINK" target="_blank"><i class="fa fa-heart"></i></a> <a href="mailto:EMAILADDRESS"><i class="fa fa-envelope"></i></a></div>
Delete and add as you please. Additional icon codes are included in the ‘Icon Link Codes’ file inside of the ‘Assets’ folder. You may separate each icon with a space. Be sure to keep the div tags in place.
To add your links simply replace the cap letters with your own links.
Example: For Twitter, you need to insert your Twitter (URL) link in the exact spot that says
TWITTER-LINK. Nothing more, nothing less. The same applies to the other icons.
Not a fan of coding? If so you may achieve similar results from using the plugin Simple Social Icons.
