Create Sidebar 'About Me' Section

If you don’t have an account already create an account at canva.com and log into your account.

Step 1

You will be directed to the Home page, from here click Create a Design button.

Step 2

Click on the Custom Dimensions button and insert the dimensions of 300 x 300px. Click Create New Design button.

Step 3

In the left panel click on Element then scroll down to Frames and click the first circle frame in the list to place it on the page. You may adjust the size of the frame by dragging the corners of the frame.

Step 4

In the left panel click on Upload > Upload an Image to upload your own image to the frame.

Step 5

After you upload your image click on it once to place it on the page. Slightly move it to place it within the circle frame.

Step 6

Click the download button in the top right corner. Select PNG as the File type and make sure Transparent background is checked. Click download to save your image to your computer.

Uploading to WordPress

Go to Dashboard > Plugins > Add New. In the Search field type “Image Widget”. After you have downloaded and Activated the Plugin go to Appearance > Widgets. Drag the Image Widget into your preferred location, and add your image / short description.
